One question, a few gentle follow-ups, and your own words read back to you.
Nothing is saved until you say it is right.
An elder is asked one question about their life, in plain words. They answer by typing, or by speaking in English and letting the microphone write it down for them to correct.
If the answer leaves something out, a short follow-up asks for it: who was with you, when it was, where, what happened next, what you remember seeing, hearing or smelling. A recipe gets its own follow-ups, and festival memories theirs. Every follow-up comes from a list your network has approved, so nobody is asked anything the family has not seen first.
The answer is read back in the elder's own words. They can change anything. Only when they confirm is it saved to their story.
This is an optional feature, switched on when your network asks for it.
