Everything is visible to your network by default.
Circles let you narrow that — for the posts that deserve it.
A community network might have 80 members. Most things — a memory, a photo, a milestone — belong to everyone. But some things are only for the people you trust most. A health update. A family difficulty. A message meant for your closest circle only.
Privacy Circles gives you two layers. Your Family Circle is the people who share your blood, your home, your closest bonds — automatically populated from your relationships, adjustable by you. Your Inner Circle is even tighter: spouse, children, parents. You can add or remove anyone from either circle at any time.
When you post something to your Inner Circle, only those people see it. The rest of your network doesn't know the post exists.
The default. A post, photo, or journey shared with "Everyone" is visible to all members of your network. For most memories, this is exactly right — the whole network should see it. No circles needed.
Automatically includes spouse, children, parents, siblings, their families, in-laws, and grandparents. You can toggle anyone off or add people who belong there. A post shared to Family Circle is visible only to them.
Automatically includes spouse, children, and parents. The tightest ring. What you share here is for the people who were in the room when it happened — or who need to know before anyone else does.
