The Year in Review is not an algorithm's highlight reel. It is a complete record of the year as the network actually lived it. Sorted by month. Tagged with the people who contributed. Searchable and permanent.
It's also a reminder of what the network is accumulating. A family in its third year might look at their Year in Review and see 847 memories, 23 journeys across 11 countries, 4 new members born and 2 who passed. The record is building whether anyone is watching or not.
At the end of every year, the network knows what it built.
The Year in Review generates itself from the network's activity data. No Conductor has to compile it. No one exports a spreadsheet. It appears at the end of the year, ready to explore.
Every item in the review is attributed to the member who contributed it. The Year in Review is also a portrait of who was active in the network that year — who posted, who joined, who shared.
Year in Reviews don't disappear. The review from three years ago is still there. A family can look back at the year their eldest was born, the year they moved, the year someone passed. The record accumulates.
