Some content should not be deletable. An elder's testimony about the community's founding. An oral history recorded in a language with five hundred speakers. The recorded voice of someone who passed last year.
ECO's Legacy Archive is a Heritage-protected space managed by the Historian. Once content is designated Heritage, it cannot be deleted — by anyone. Not by the member who posted it, not by the Conductor, not by ECO. The content is permanent.
This is the most important thing ECO offers for indigenous communities, faith communities, and cultural organizations: a record that cannot be erased.

The Historian designates content as Heritage. The moment that designation is applied, the content is locked against deletion. No override exists. The community's decision to preserve something is final.
The Legacy Archive holds any type of content — recorded oral histories, video testimonies, written records, scanned documents, transcripts. Everything the Historian determines the community needs to preserve.
Archived content is not hidden. It is fully searchable within the network. New members who join years later can find and read the testimony of an elder who passed before they joined. The archive is a living resource, not a locked vault.
