Every community has things it stands for — whether those things are spoken or not. A family has values it passes down. A tribal nation has laws and ways of being. A congregation has covenant. A cultural community has practices that define who it is.
Network Values is a living document your Conductor creates and maintains. It's the first thing new members see. It's the foundation your community builds on. It belongs entirely to the group — not to ECO, not to any platform.
This is not a terms of service. It is not content moderation policy. It is a statement of what your people believe, written in your own words.
The platform doesn't define your values. You do.
The person who started the network — the Conductor — writes and maintains the Network Values document. They can update it at any time. Members are notified when it changes.
When someone joins the network, the Values document is one of the first things they see. It tells them who this community is and what it expects of its members — before they post anything.
Values aren't a checkbox. In ECO, they're a living document that the network's history is built on top of. Members can refer to it. Conductors can cite it. It's part of the record the network leaves behind.
