1.Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or joining a network on EternalCurrent.Online, you agree to these Terms of Service and the accompanying Privacy Policy and End User License Agreement. These documents together constitute the complete agreement between you and the Operator of EternalCurrent.Online . Written notices may be sent to the Operator at Admin@eternalcurrent.online.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the platform.

2.Who May Use This Platform

EternalCurrent.Online is invite-only. Access requires either an invitation from an existing network member or the creation of a new network as a subscribing member. The platform is available to individuals aged 13 and over. Members under 18 require parental or guardian consent.

Children under 13 may be added as non-signing members of a network by a parent or adult guardian, but may not create independent accounts.

3.Membership Roles and Fees

Subscription Tiers

All tiers are available on an annual (billed upfront) or monthly (billed each month) basis. There is no auto-renewal on either plan. Annual pricing reflects a lower effective monthly rate.

Conductor
$119.88 / year  ·  $9.99/mo effective
or $10.99 / month
Full network membership. Share stories, respond to prompts, contribute to cultural vocabulary, and control your own visibility within the network.
Conductor Pro
$179.88 / year  ·  $14.99/mo effective
or $15.99 / month
Everything in Conductor, plus the ability to author and annotate cultural vocabulary, create curriculum, and take on community-defined teaching roles within the network.
Org Admin
$251.88 / year  ·  $20.99/mo effective
or $22.99 / month
Multi-network management for institutions, tribal councils, collegiate programs, and cultural organisations.

Community Overlay Roles

The following roles may be held by any Conductor or Conductor Pro member. They carry responsibilities — not additional fees.

Keeper

The cultural teacher of the network. Annotates profiles, authors vocabulary, preserves language and oral history. The title itself is community-defined — Elder, Storyteller, Granthi, Sensei, Keeper, or any term the network chooses. No additional charge.

Moderator

Steward of accuracy. Handles disputed relationships and flagged content. Acts as a peer steward — not a gatekeeper. Nominated by the community or through self-nomination with community approval. No additional charge.

Overlay roles are community-driven. No single person administers or owns a network as a designated authority. Networks are governed by the community members within them.

4.No Auto-Renewal — Explicit Policy

EternalCurrent.Online does not auto-renew subscriptions. This is a legally binding commitment, applying equally to annual and monthly plans.

Every subscription renewal is a deliberate, affirmative act by the member. At the end of each subscription period — whether monthly or annual — your access continues until expiry, but no charge is made unless you actively choose to renew. Renewal reminders are sent at 30, 14, and 7 days before expiry on annual plans, and 7 days before expiry on monthly plans.

We will not charge your payment method without your explicit action. We will never enroll you in recurring billing without your clear opt-in to that specific arrangement.

Every renewal is a choice you make. We earn your trust every single period.

5.Account Lapse, Directed Dormancy & Post-Mortem Rights

If your subscription lapses or expires and you do not renew, your network enters Directed Dormancy — it is preserved, not deleted.

Directed Dormancy is the platform's intentional state for any network whose Conductor subscription has lapsed, whether due to non-renewal, passing, or other circumstance. It is not abandonment — it is preservation by design, meeting the requirements of international data-management standards while honoring the intent behind your lineage archive.

In Directed Dormancy:

Directed Dormancy is not a deletion timer. Your archive waits — indefinitely — until the next generation claims it.

Reactivation

Any verified member of the network may contact Admin@eternalcurrent.online to reactivate a dormant network. Verification requirements protect the archive from unauthorized access.

Post-Mortem Reactivation and Authorized Representatives

In the event of the Conductor's death, Directed Dormancy functions identically — the network is preserved and awaits the action of a verified authorized representative. The authorized representative may reactivate the network, request a full data export, or initiate permanent deletion. Future Arcs sealed at the time of the member's death remain sealed and are handled in accordance with the member's instructions.

See Privacy Policy Section 13b — Post-Mortem Data Rights for the full post-mortem rights framework, including advance nomination, California RUFADAA compliance, EU member state protections, and India DPDP nomination rights.

6.Complete Deletion and Data Export

Export

You may export your complete network data at any time through the platform's data tools. Your data is provided in full — no partial exports, no omissions. Your data leaves with you.

Deletion

Complete and permanent deletion of your account and all associated data is available at any time, entirely at your discretion. To request deletion:

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. There is no retention period. Once deleted, your data is gone. We strongly recommend exporting before deleting.

Deletion is always your choice. The platform will never initiate deletion of your data without your explicit instruction.

6b.Data Retention Schedule

The following schedule governs how long different categories of data are retained on the platform.

Data Category Retention Period Trigger for Deletion
Active account — all network content Indefinite while subscription is active Member-initiated deletion
Directed Dormancy — lapsed account Indefinite — no expiry Member or verified family member request
Future Arcs (sealed, awaiting delivery) Indefinite until milestone or deletion Creator deletion or account deletion
Deleted account — primary data Deleted immediately upon request Member request
Deleted account — backup copies Up to 30 days from deletion request Automated backup rotation
Server access logs 30 days Automated log rotation
Email address (authentication only) Duration of account Account deletion — not used for marketing
Payment processing records 7 years (tax and financial compliance) Statutory requirement — handled by Stripe
Payment card details are never stored on our servers. All payment processing is handled by Stripe. ECO retains only transaction metadata for billing and support purposes.

7.No Data Transferability

Everything in your network came from your network. This platform cannot, and will not:

In the event of a change of ownership or control of the Operator, members will be notified in advance, given the ability to export their data, and given the ability to delete their accounts before any transfer occurs.

8.The Opt-In Vendor Directory

The platform may offer a directory of vetted service providers. Vendors pay a flat monthly subscription to the Operator for a platform listing. They do not pay for, and do not receive, access to user data.

Your participation in the vendor directory is strictly opt-in. Without your deliberate choice to connect, no vendor has any knowledge of you as an individual. You may withdraw any vendor connection at any time.

9.Community Governance

Networks on EternalCurrent.Online are community-governed. There is no single designated network owner with unilateral authority. Community roles — including Keeper and Moderator — are assigned through community nomination or self-nomination with community approval.

The platform provides the infrastructure and tools. The community provides the governance. The Operator does not intervene in network governance except to address safety issues or violations of these terms.

10.Prohibited Conduct

Members may not use the platform to:

Violations may result in suspension or termination of access. Serious violations will be reported to appropriate authorities.

11.Future Arcs

Future Arcs allow members to create encrypted messages — text, voice, or video — to be delivered to named recipients inside the private network at a future date or upon a triggering milestone event.

Legal Clarity — What Future Arcs Are and Are Not

Future Arcs are non-legal, non-binding narrative messages. They are a cultural utility — a means of preserving family history, identity, and emotional context across generations.

Members using Future Arcs for estate-adjacent purposes are advised to consult qualified legal counsel for all legally binding instruments.

Active Network Requirement

Future Arcs are delivered exclusively inside the recipient's private network. Recipients must be active, verified members of the network to receive a Future Arc. Messages are not sent via external email, exported to third parties, or delivered outside the network environment. This design is intentional — it ensures the message is received with full lineage context and within a private, verified environment.

Prohibited Content

Users agree not to include the following in any Future Arc message:

Future Arcs carry meaning, not mandates. Stories, not statutes. They are designed to provide emotional direction and cultural context to loved ones — not to serve as a secure credential vault, financial record, or legal declaration.

Technical and Encryption Practices

All Future Arc content is encrypted in the member's own browser using AES-256-GCM before transmission. The Operator cannot read, access, or recover the content of any Future Arc message. Members are solely responsible for the content of their messages.

Members acknowledge the prohibited content restrictions at the time of creation. This acknowledgement is recorded and timestamped. Inclusion of prohibited data constitutes a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension of access.

Future Arcs During Directed Dormancy

If a Conductor's subscription lapses and the network enters Directed Dormancy, all sealed Future Arcs are preserved in their encrypted state alongside all other network content. They remain private, intact, and inaccessible to the public. They may only be accessed after a verified family member reactivates the network. No Future Arc content is deleted, repurposed, or made accessible without explicit reactivation.

12.Platform Availability

The Operator makes reasonable efforts to maintain platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary unavailability. In such cases, subscription periods will be extended appropriately.

13.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator's liability for any claim arising from use of this platform is limited to the subscription fees paid by the member in the three months preceding the claim. The Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

14.Changes to These Terms

Changes that materially affect your rights or obligations will be communicated by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not accept the changes, you may export your data and delete your account before the effective date.
